Jobs For Teens in Malls

Are you looking for your first job or for that all so needed cash in your pocket for the summer? Why not apply for job in a place you love to hang out in? THE MALL!

Here are some tips:

* Dress for success. Make sure you are neatly groomed and dressed appropriately. First impressions are everything! Choose an outfit that fits you nicely. Nothing too tight, short or baggy. Smell nice and cut those nails.

* Print extra resumes. Always travel with copies of your resume. Even if they ask you to fill out an application an attached resume shows you are prepared and serious. If this is your first job and you don't have job experience to add to your resume list schools activities, volunteer activities and highlight your skills. If you walk into a store and the manager tells you there are no positions available you can leave a copy of your resume behind in case something opens up.

* Confidence! Walk into the store and ask for the manager. Shake his/her hand firmly and look them in the eye as you tell them that you are seeking to work in their store. If you are nervous, don't worry, everyone is nervous their first time.

* Hours. When it's time to set up your hours make sure to choose times your parents won't gripe about or will kill your social life. An appropriate time to head home is in the late evening. It will be convenient for your ride home or safe travel on public transportation.

* Be on time! Once you have your job don't slack. Always show up 15 minutes before your shift starts. Most bosses are flexible for late arrivals that happen once in a blue moon but don't push your luck. They know how teens are.
